New Zealand Transport Agency conducts these courses for Government and Local Roading Asset Authorities, Contractors, Consultants, and any other interested party. Conference Brokers Limited has been contracted to administer and organise the courses on their behalf.
This workshop focuses on the road safety barrier systems used for temporary traffic management. This workshop will be necessary for those who design, install and/or check/audit temporary road safety barrier systems.
NZTA and Local Authority Staff, Consultants and Contractors responsible for temporary road safety barrier installation, checks, audits, or maintenance should attend and complete the practical assessment.
There are NO Pre-requisite required for this course.

Temporary Barrier Workshop 13 – 15 September 2017 – Jet Park Hotel 63 Wasney Rd, Mangere
Attendees will begin on Day 2 at approx 8.30am and finish at approx 4.30pm on Day 3.
Day 1 Set-Up day Staff & Suppliers only

The course will be held over two days with instruction which will include a mix of material relating to the needs of both Installers and Designers. The instruction in the classroom will be interspersed with inspection of the Product Displays of Temporary Barrier products, and site visits to current installations at nearby working sites. Some testing and assignment work will be involved.
Following the setup day both Installers and Designers begin on Day 2 covering common material through to lunch time on Day 3, when Installers will be finished. Designers receive a further ½ day of specific material related to their requirements. Each day begins at 8.30am and concludes approx. 4.30pm.
Morning Teas, Lunch and Afternoon Teas will be provided on Day 2 & 3 of the course.
The fees for the course are set at two levels to allow for additional material for Designers.

TEMPORARY BARRIER INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS
– PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT
In future consultants and contractors carrying out: TMP design, installation, checks or audits involving temporary road safety barriers; will need to have attended this practical workshop and demonstrated their proficiency through completion of a practical assessment.
